Madeline Johnson

Program Manager

Madeline G. Johnson is program manager for the Church Properties Initiative at the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate (FIRE) at the University of Notre Dame. In her role with FIRE, Maddy oversees CPI's research and practice incubator, produces the initiative's annual fall conference, and teaches two church-property-focused undergraduate courses. Before joining the FIRE team in 2022, she was a research analyst at commercial real estate firm CBRE, supporting a team of office and industrial investment sales brokers. A native of Minneapolis, Maddy graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in philosophy from Hillsdale College in 2017 and earned a Master of Urban Planning degree in 2020 from McGill University in Montreal, where her research focused on adaptive shared use of space in historic urban Catholic parishes. She is an alumna of the French Embassy's Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF).
